Annie Wu

Flutist Annie Wu combines concert performance with projects shaped by literature, food and storytelling. She has appeared as a concerto soloist with the San Francisco Symphony, California Symphony and Vienna International Orchestra, and won first prizes in the Astral Artists national auditions and James Pappoutsakis Flute Competition.

A graduate of the Harvard–New England Conservatory dual-degree programme, Wu studied comparative literature at Harvard and flute with Paula Robison at NEC. Her teaching at Juilliard explores the connections between music and other art forms. Her album Not Too Sweet brings memories of childhood into a programme for flute and piano.
